Ride A Pet Pet Index: Rewards, Registration & Missing Entries
How the Ride A Pet Pet Index tracks your hatched pets, how new entries register, what cash rewards have been observed ($1,000–$5,000 examples), and how to audit missing entries against the live grid.
Quick answer
The Ride A Pet Pet Index is the in-game collection registry for pets you discover through hatching. Open it from the Index button on the main HUD (the left-side blue book icon on the hub menu, alongside Rebirth and Hatch Luck), and every new species you hatch registers there permanently. Index milestones pay one-time cash rewards that you must claim manually from the Pets tab — community gameplay shows early payouts of $1,000 and $5,000, though amounts can change and must be read live.
- Three tabs: Pets, Eggs, and Mutations
- Undiscovered pets appear as black silhouettes or locked entries
- Rewards require a manual Claim tap — they are not paid automatically
- Register new pets before selling them so milestone progress is not lost
What the Pet Index tracks and where it is
The Index has three tabs — Pets, Eggs, and Mutations — and every new discovery registers there. The Pets tab grid shows confirmed pets with hatch odds, while undiscovered pets appear as black silhouettes or locked entries, which is the cleanest way to see what still hides in the egg pool. The Eggs tab additionally shows how many of a specific egg (such as the black hole egg) are currently on the map.
How entries register: the hatch-to-index loop
Roadmap
- 1
Note missing entries
Open the Index before a hatch and note the nearby missing entries.
- 2
Hatch the egg
Place the collected egg at My Plot and finish the current hatch flow.
- 3
Read the result
Check the pet name and visible rarity or stat card.
- 4
Reopen the Index
Locate that pet and confirm whether the entry is newly registered.
Every new species you hatch registers in the Index, and the discovery is permanent — selling the pet afterward does not remove the entry. Still, register a new pet before selling it so a missing collection entry (and its milestone progress) is not lost. After each hatch you will know whether you gained a better mount, a new collection entry, or both.
Claiming Index rewards
Unlocking Index entries grants one-time cash payouts, but they are not added automatically. Open the Index, check the Pets tab, and hit Claim on anything with a reward attached, then confirm your balance updates. Community reports and gameplay footage show early Index rewards reaching $1,000 and $5,000, with players documenting their 1K claims directly from the Index menu. This "hidden" cash is often the fastest way to bridge the gap between cheap gear and the next radar tier, and it should be collected before any Rebirth since it counts as easy progress.
Two things to watch: some entries may require cash to unlock before the reward becomes claimable, and reward values can change — read the amount on your screen before claiming. Not every entry pays, and no universal completion prize is verified; claim only rewards explicitly shown by the current interface.
Auditing missing entries: reading the live grid
Comparison
| Index State | What To Do |
|---|---|
| Clear pet portrait | Compare it with pets you already own or have hatched. |
| Silhouette or locked entry | Treat it as missing without guessing its identity. |
| Claim indicator | Open the entry and read the current reward and condition. |
| Newly changed tile | Confirm it matches the pet from your latest hatch. |
Start with the current grid rather than a fan-made complete list, because the game can add, remove, or rearrange entries. Work one screen or section at a time and record only what the live interface displays. When the game shows a pet name, record that exact spelling — names are better lookup keys than color or shape. If a silhouette remains hidden, leave it unidentified until the live UI reveals it.
Troubleshooting entries that do not register
If your newest pet does not register immediately, close and reopen the menu, wait for the hatch and claim animations to finish, and check again. Do not discard a pet based only on a delayed interface update. Recheck the grid after reconnecting if a new tile looks delayed. Remember the distinction at the moment of hatching: the hatch animation shows that you received a pet, while the Index shows whether it registered as a collection entry.
New entries versus better mounts
Index progress and movement progress can point in different directions. A new pet can fill a missing entry without being faster than your current mount, and a duplicate can fail to add a new tile while still having a useful speed value. Evaluate both outcomes separately: use the Index to measure collection coverage and the lightning-marked speed display to choose a mount.
The clean inventory loop is: keep useful pets, register new Index entries, sell weak duplicates. Even a slow new hatch can have value if it completes your collection and pushes you toward Index rewards — the $1,000 and $5,000 payouts easily outvalue weak starter pets like the Snail ($3/s placed income), and once a pet's speed is obsolete, filling the Index is often its only remaining use.
A collection routine that fills the Index efficiently
Begin a session by checking a small group of missing tiles instead of trying to memorize the whole grid. Run several egg deliveries, then review the same group after each hatch — this keeps the goal readable and helps you notice when an entry changes. Collect eggs around the map, deliver them to My Plot, hatch them, and check the Index after each result.
If the grid gets hard to track, keep a short list of names exactly as the game displays them. Choose egg targets based on missing pets only when the live game connects those eggs to visible outcomes; a silhouette does not tell you which egg guarantees it. When you obtain a faster pet, ride it on later searches, since faster traversal creates more hatch opportunities and naturally grows the Index. At the end of a session, sort results into new Index entries, duplicates with better visible speed, and pets that help neither goal.
Live-check: rules and rewards can change
The Index interface shows the grid in your current server, not a permanent roster — the roster grows with updates (a content update was already scheduled for September 19, 2026), so use the live grid over any old checklist. Known first-hand pet odds (Snail 1 in 2, Turtle 1 in 5, and rarer tiers up to one-in-quadrillions visible in the Index) confirm the grid spans the full roster.
Its rewards can change, so read the amount or item on your screen before claiming and verify your balance updates. The duplicate rule — whether duplicates advance any counter — is not confirmed; read the live entry and any visible progress indicator before assuming a duplicate counts. If no Claim control appears on an entry, keep collecting instead of following an old button sequence.
