Ride A Pet Money Guide: Fast Cash Earning & Spending
The fastest ways to earn cash in Ride A Pet, the best income pets and farming routes, and exactly what to spend on first. Prices and rates rechecked against current sources where values can change.
The fastest reliable cash in Ride A Pet comes from active egg/nest farming on the map while your ranch plot earns passively in the background. Claim the three free reward buttons first, place your highest-income pet on the plot, ride a fast pet to farm nests, and reinvest every payout into upgrades instead of hoarding.
Claim the three permanent free cash rewards first
Before grinding or spending, claim the three free reward buttons inside the game: liking the game, joining the developer group "this game is gud," and joining the official Discord. These are one-time account actions that pay immediately — the Like reward lands cash in your wallet, the Group reward drops a free pet egg, and the Discord reward gives a pet ticket. There is no code system in Ride A Pet; the in-game buttons are the whole mechanism, and they stay available indefinitely for older accounts that never claimed them.
The daily cash claim is separate and refreshes every 24 hours, with the payout scaling with your current progression tier, so higher-tier accounts earn larger daily payouts. Anchor it to a fixed time of day and follow it with a short farming run, converting the payout into upgrades immediately.

Ranch pet income is the passive engine
Pets placed on your ranch plot generate cash automatically while you're off exploring, each showing a live $/s value near it, all feeding the total rate on the HUD. Collection is automatic — a green +$N float appears when the amount is collected — though you don't earn cash from a pet you're currently riding. Starter pets produce very little: a Snail is reported at roughly $3/s, a Chicken at about $42/s — a fourteen-fold jump. That's why upgrading your placed pets matters more than filling slots with duplicates. Feeding food to a placed pet grants XP, raising its age and earning rate.
Prioritize base income, not speed, when picking cash pets
When the goal is cash, compare base income on the pet card rather than speed or rarity. Community stat lists show the ladder climbing sharply:

Kitsune is the speed king, but Dragon more than triples its income — place Dragon on the plot when cash is the goal and ride Kitsune when reaching eggs is the goal. Not all pets are ordered by rarity for income, so always check the stat card before swapping.
Speed and route quality still multiply farming income
Income stats fund the balance, but map coverage per minute multiplies it — a pet that boosts your nests-per-minute by 50% is almost always better than one that boosts per-nest payout by 20%, because throughput applies to the whole session. Run a short circular loop over the closest nest cluster rather than running to the map edge and walking back; every backtrack is unpaid time, and a clean route can double hourly earnings without spending anything. Once a pet can reach the second cluster, run a longer loop connecting starter and mid-tier nests; only push to high-tier nests once the pet clears them in reasonable time. Community estimates put a fresh starter around 50,000 cash per hour, rising to roughly 90,000–100,000 once a faster pet and the free bonuses are in place, with endgame mutated routes reported far higher. These are community-tested figures that shift with patches.
Early spending priorities: radars, food, and Hatch Luck
Spend early cash only on what shortens the earning loop:
Tips
Radars
Advanced Radar, $50 at the Gears stall (tracks Rare Eggs), plus the $3,000 forced Restock option and higher radars above it (Royal $20,000 Epic, Magic $300,000 Legendary, with Angelic/Eternal shown when in stock). Check the Track board before buying so you don't waste a radar charge on a low-value egg board.
Food for your best placed earner
Grass $10 (500 XP, always stocked), Bone $1,500 (10,000 XP), Meat $30,000 (100,000 XP), Magic Apple $7,000,000 (300,000 XP), Dragonfruit $30,000,000 (1,000,000 XP). Concentrate food on one high-income keeper rather than spreading it across pets you will replace.
Hatch Luck
Buy a level at the upgrade board on your plot whenever affordable, ideally before cracking a batch of eggs.
Index rewards
Register every new species before selling it, then claim milestone payouts manually ($1,000–$5,000 rewards appear early); this cash often bridges the gap to the next radar tier.
Reinvest instead of hoarding
Upgrade to the next affordable egg tier right away in almost every case: every day sitting on a large cash pile is a day without the faster or higher-income pet that would have earned more, and reaching the next tier sooner also raises your daily cash payout. Sell weak duplicates (after registering new Index entries) and pour the proceeds into upgrades. One exception: mutation re-rolls are a repeated cost with no published odds — cash spent re-rolling is cash not spent on new eggs. Set a hard cap per pet and move the budget back into hatching once it's hit.
Late-progression money targets and rebirth spending
The endgame economy accelerates in huge steps: Phoenix at 100,000 income, Cerberus at 30 million (a ~300x jump), Kitsune at 90 million, and Dragon at 300 million — the endgame money target. Rebirth once you're strong enough to recover quickly; if resetting leaves you stuck on weak pets for ages, you rebirthed too early. Critically, cash does not survive a rebirth, so spend down to the minimum on food and gear before the reset — anything left in the wallet past the requirement is wasted. Keep one fast pet for egg travel and place your highest-income pet on the plot to bank cash while farming.
Two free multipliers are easy to miss: playing with friends applies a Friend Boost that helps money generation, and server events boost income — one player reports that joining the notified event grants 3 hours of 2x cash, and once rebirth bonuses are live, re-running the same farming route pays a multiplied payout per session.
