Ride A Pet Fuse: How to Complete a Fusion at the Fuse Machine
Fusing exists in Ride A Pet — the limited-time Fuse Machine from Update 3. See where it spawns, what each fusion costs, the 16 exclusive pets, and how the displayed odds work.
Yes — fusing exists in Ride A Pet. Update 3 ("The Fuse Machine") added a world structure that sacrifices four pets of Legendary or higher rarity plus a Cash payment and returns one new limited pet exclusive to the machine. The mechanic is confirmed by the Update 3 patch notes and shown start to finish in two separate gameplay recordings of complete fusions (source pages dated October 3, 2026), so this guide covers the whole loop: unlocking the machine, completing a fusion, and reading the odds before you commit pets.
What the Fuse Machine is
The Fuse Machine is a structure on the map, not a menu tab. It is flagged as limited-time — it shipped with Update 3 and no end date has been announced — so treat its availability as subject to change.
Each fusion consumes four pets of Legendary rarity or higher plus a Cash payment, and produces a single limited pet from an exclusive pool of 16: 3 Legendary, 4 Mythic, 4 Divine, and 5 Ethereal. Fused pets generate Cash for purchases and upgrades like any other critter, and they can carry value-boosting Traits or Mutations. Named examples include Black Panther, El Toro, and Stone Golem; odds panels have also listed hellhound, Fenrir, Golem, Hell Horse, Hydra, and Hydra Dragon.
How to unlock it and where it is
- Rebirth 1 is the gate. The Fuse Machine only appears on the map once you complete your first Rebirth — if you can't see it, that's why. After that it stays accessible at any time.
- Rebirth 1's own requirements: the Legendary-rarity Horse (roughly a 1 in 500,000 hatch chance, usually from the Glass Egg — see the egg list), and it's recommended to keep at least 1 million Cash on hand. The Rebirth grants a 2x Cash multiplier and the Gold Base, which directly help you afford fusions. The full walkthrough is in the rebirth guide.
- Landmark: once visible, the machine sits close to the Ride With a Friend NPC — the one whose mount is a Phoenix — with gameplay footage placing it just to the left of that NPC.
What one fusion costs
| Input | Amount | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Pets | 4 × Legendary or higher | Sacrificed permanently — you lose them even if the result disappoints. Ethereal pets are explicitly accepted. |
| Cash | Variable — shown in the Fuse menu | Described only as "lots of Cash." One late-game session displayed 30 trillion for a fusion and 500 billion for a later attempt, so read the displayed price before starting rather than trusting any fixed figure. |
The pets are the real cost. The machine is aimed at mid-game and late-game players with rare duplicates or critters that earn less than their active team, so don't deposit anything you'd miss. One practical snag from gameplay: favorited pets must be unfavorited before they can be deposited.
How to complete a fusion, step by step
- Complete Rebirth 1, then walk to the Fuse Machine, left of the Phoenix-mount friend NPC.
- Open your backpack and equip a Legendary-or-higher pet. Unfavorite it first if needed.
- Walk to one of the four glass tubes and hold the pet at the tube to deposit it. Clicking the tube does nothing — recorded attempts fail repeatedly until the hold interaction is used.
- Deposit three more Legendary-or-higher pets the same way.
- Interact with the button at the center of the machine. The Fuse menu opens, showing your deposited pets, every limited critter this deposit can produce with exact percentages, and two side panels listing the possible Mutations and Traits.
- If the numbers look right, press Fuse on the panel. The fusion takes one hour; skipping the timer costs 160 Robux (some server events have also skipped timers for everyone present).
- When the timer ends, interact with the machine and collect your new animal.
Reading the odds before you commit
The Fuse menu is the only reliable odds reference — it shows exact percentages for your current deposit before you pay. One documented deposit displayed:
| Possible result | Shown chance |
|---|---|
| Golem | 80% |
| Wolf | 17% |
| Hell Horse | 1.8% |
| Hydra | 0.06% |
A different deposit in another session showed Hydra Dragon at 0.25%, and one panel rated hellhound and Fenrir as the strong pulls while Stone Golem and El Toro sat at the bottom. The complete 16-pet pool with per-pet base odds is not published anywhere outside the game.
Odds move with your deposit. Swapping in a weaker pet made the percentages worse in one recorded test, while equipping better pets visibly raised the rare-result chances in another. The exact formula linking input rarity to outcome odds isn't documented — only the direction of the effect — so judge each attempt by the numbers the menu shows for that specific set of pets.
Traits and Mutations carry over by chance
If your deposited pets have Traits or Mutations, those modifiers have a chance to transfer to the result. The worked example: depositing four Gold-mutated Horse pets can give a 25% chance of a Gold-mutated output. The side panels show which Mutations and Traits are possible for your fusion before you start.
Two things to understand before chasing modifiers: the transfer is a chance, never a guarantee, and the deposited pets and Cash are spent either way — one recorded mutation chase failed and consumed all four pets. Also note this is not the weather-mutation system: storm mutations only modify pets you already own and combine nothing. Fusing is the only mechanic that merges pets into something new.
Repeating fusions and where it fits your roster
- The machine is usable any number of times as long as you again have four Legendary-or-higher pets plus the Cash payment.
- All 16 pool pets are exclusive to the machine, and even Ethereal results can be fed back in as fuel.
- The system loops back into progression: Rebirth 1's 2x Cash multiplier and Gold Base fund fusions, and Update 3's new limited pets themselves note "Requires Rebirth 1."
Before sacrificing anything, check how your collection compares — the pet roster and tier list make it obvious which duplicates and low earners are safe fuel, and the money guide covers building the Cash buffer the machine demands.
